There are many reasons for a Computer to become slow. Viruses,adware,spyware, bad ram, failing hard drive ,are just a few reasons but we can't tell until we do a diagnostic of the machine to be sure. these are just a few of the most comin things that can cause a Computer to slow down.

This depends on your Activity on your computer. If you download alot I would say at least once a week. For people that use the computer and internet less often then normal then I suggest once a month. but most people should do it about 2 times a month to keep there computer running smooth.

Yes, Spyware can damage your computer it can corrupt files and replace files that you need on your computer to run smoothly . how you can keep this from happening is get a good anti-spyware scanning program and scan every time you get off the internet . the scan only takes about 10-15 mins depending on the size of you hard drive. this should keep you up and running smoothly.

Yes, most computers even off the shelf computers can be upgraded. It all depends on what brand of computer it is on how much you can upgrade.

It will take as long as it takes . some fixes are complicated and take a while to fix. We try to get them fixed as fast as possible . Do to the unpredictale nature of Electrics and Software products it is hard to put a time limit on Repairs.
